The library has been working with Greene County Public Health throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to donating our existing N95 respirators and gloves for distribution to local health care workers, we've also been making new supplies!
Spark Place's 3D printers have been put to work producing mask extenders, which are used by health care workers to take the painful and often damaging pressure of elastic straps off of their ears while wearing masks for long shifts.

We've donated 100+ extenders, with 170 more ready to deliver so far this week. Better yet, we've teamed up with the area maker community to encourage production of mask extenders on local 3D printers. Thank you, Miami Valley makers, for supporting our frontline health care workers!
