We declare Tuesday, June 25, Interstellar Button Day at Fairborn Community Library!
A couple of years ago, we borrowed the button maker from Spark Place, Greene County Public Library’s makerspace. We discovered that we never wanted to give it back, so we got one of our own. It’s easy to use, and oh-so-satisfying. Set up all the bits and pieces, spin the thing once or twice, and pull the lever. Presto! A perfect button emerges.
In keeping with our Summer Reading theme, A Universe of Stories, we’ll have materials that you can use to make your very own celestial button. Wear it proudly!
Of course, if you want to make a batch of buttons, you would go to Spark Place at Xenia Community Library. But on June 25, drop in any time between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to give the button press a spin and make one really stellar button. Staff will be on hand to show you how.
