We know, some adults struggle to stay awake late enough to see the ball drop. Sorry, grownups, this early bird special is for kids.
Our Fairborn Community Library Youth Services team has made the Noon Year’s Eve Party an annual event for kids ages 4–8. This year, the bash begins at 11 a.m. on December 31, and culminates in crazy joy at noon. Kids have a rousing good time with games, crafts, snacks, and a thrilling countdown! You can (and should) register your kids for this program soon, as space is limited.
While the library is open for this event (and for the rest of our usual services), please note that all Greene County Public Library locations will close early—at 5:30 p.m.—on Tuesday, December 31.
And if you find yourself at home that evening in need of some music, a book, or a movie to keep you awake until the midnight hour, you can still access our digital collection even while we are closed. Try Hoopla to instantly borrow digital materials with your library card. Not sure how to get started? Bring your phone, tablet, or laptop in, and one of our whiz-bang reference staff will show you the ropes. Or cables. Or whatever.
Happy New Year, from all of us at your Fairborn Community Library!
