Consumer Scams and How to Avoid Them

This joint consumer protections program is presented by:

• Kathryn Woliung, U.S. Postal Inspector/Team Leader (U.S. Postal Inspection Service)

Ms. Woliung will discuss various fraud schemes and prevention tips that involve the U.S. mail.

• Andrew Tinkham, Senior Outreach and Education Specialist (Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel)

Mr. Tinkham will provide information on how to prevent slamming and cramming on your utility bills, as well as information on utility disconnection scams.

• Ryan Lippe, Consumer Educator (Ohio Attorney General's Office, Consumer Protection Section)

Mr. Lippe will present on internet and social media scams.
