Fairbrook’s Favorite Art StoryWalk

During the months of May and June, Beavercreek Community Library has a very exciting project at our StoryWalk® at Dominick Lofino Park—Fairbrook’s Favorite Art. Instead of featuring a picture book that can be read as you walk around the lake at the park, we’ll be showcasing beautiful artworks created by the 4th and 5th graders at Fairbrook Elementary.

The students’ Visual Arts instructor, Katherine Binkley, selected 30 artworks for you to enjoy. Each panel of our StoryWalk® contains two artworks along with a description written by the artist. The artworks are gorgeous, colorful, and imaginative. The descriptions are honest and creative. I know you’ll enjoy their work as much as I have!

We’re planning to make this an annual project with Fairbrook Elementary, the closest elementary school to our StoryWalk®. I’m looking forward to enjoying the students’ amazing artworks in the years ahead!

Thank you to Fairbrook’s 4th and 5th grade students; Katherine Binkley, Fairbrook’s Visual Arts Teacher; Joell Mangan, Fairbrook’s Principal; Friends of the Beavercreek Library; City of Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture; and Greene County Public Library for making this StoryWalk® possible.

Nancy Madden, Beavercreek Head Librarian
