Beautiful Creatures is a young adult fantastical book in which two high schoolers are brought together when one moves to the other's small, Texas town. Ethan Wate is bored in his small town, but then, Lena Duchannes moves to town and shakes up his world. He's immediately drawn to her, even though she's odd and lives in a spooky old plantation with a reclusive uncle. But, Ethan doesn't understand what being around Lena means until he witnesses her special powers.
If you want to follow along with us but you aren't interested in reading the book, you can always watch the movie version which was released in 2013. Check out the trailer above if you want to get a feel for the movie. Feel free to still leave comments on the blog posts, even if you're only watching the movie and not reading the book.
