Print directly onto flat, hard surfaces. Can print a primer, white, CMYK, and gloss. Smooth and less porous substrates, such as acrylic, glass or metals will work with a primer’ however, those substrates only work if the item will not be handled regularly.

What you’ll need:
- A hard, flat surface to print on.
- An image file, saved to the correct size, as a PDF.
- You may need an image of the outline of your item, for placement purposes.
- In some cases, you may need separate files for each element of your print (one file to show the outline, another for a white under base, one for CMYK, and one or more for glosses and embossing).
Related software:
- Adobe Illustrator is available in the makerspace.
- Canva is an easy, web-based or app-based tool you can use for design at home.
