Security Blankets for Shelter Animals
This Month's Organization:
Hugs Society works to improve conditions and living standards in animal shelters and to find permanent homes for as many animals as possible. The Humane Society of Greene County is a participating organization, and your creations for this month will be given directly to local animals.
Instructions
The Snuggles Project provides handmade blankets to help make shelter cages more comfortable for animals waiting for new homes. You can download basic instructions and size guidelines, opens a new window as well as additional blanket patterns from the project's website.
Project Type:
Crochet, knitting, sewing, or quilting.
Supplies You'll Need:
Supplies used will vary based on your chosen pattern.
It's recommended that you skip polyester or cotton batting in quilted snuggles—an excited animal can easily tear the batting out.
Deadline:
Drop your finished project off by July 31, 2020, during regular hours at any Greene County Public Library location.
