Want to Learn Speed Reading?

Would you like to read faster and remember what you have read? Have you heard of speed reading?

The library has a free resource called Lynda.com, which gives you access to thousands of individual courses and hundreds of learning paths.

Lynda even has a course on speed-reading. This one-hour video course is broken down by topic into sections that are about two minutes long. It focuses on using proven techniques to increase your reading speed.

The course will teach you how memory works and how to use that knowledge to improve comprehension. It even provides tips for how to speed-read different forms of media such as ebooks, textbooks, or newspapers and magazines. The video has a transcript, as well as exercises to practice your new skill. Just log in with your library card number and PIN or password to begin!
