Try these tips and tricks to improve your Google searches, opens a new window!

Tip Example
Use site: to search only specific websites or domains ohio heroin statistics site:.gov
GPS site:www.co.greene.oh.us
Use quotation marks to make Google search for a phrase “sustainable agriculture” methods
Use a minus sign to exclude something from your search sustainable agriculture methods -site:.com
Use OR between groups of words in parentheses to include synonyms sustainable (agriculture OR farming) (methods OR practice)
Click the Tools link at the top of your search results for the option to choose a time frame for your results Limit your search to results from the past hour, 24 hours, week, month, year, or custom time frame
