A Saturday Filled with Early Literacy Fun!

What a morning full of fun & wonder! Thank you everyone, all 540 of you, who came out to the Growing Up Greene Early Literacy Open House this past Saturday. We had a blast seeing all the little ones enjoying everything from jumping in the bounce houses to storytimes to dino-themed crafts to leaving the event with their very own (and first for some) library card! Seeing the littlest members of our community grow & thrive is what our early literacy mission is all about here at GCPL.

We want to give a special shoutout and congratulations to our Imagination Graduates of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Whether they've just completed kindergarten or are slated to go this fall, we wish them the best of luck and know they will succeed in all their "big kid" adventures yet to come.

Growing Up Greene is our promise to every parent, teacher, and stakeholder: we will take every opportunity we can to spark your child’s imagination, challenge them to learn about and experience new things, and inspire them to pursue their dreams. This promise encompasses how the library serves your child: from our professional library staff to engaging programs & activities to curated books & resources – we’re here for you every step of the way!

We hope to see you all again the library during Summer Reading Club and beyond, and can't wait to see everyone at next year's Growing Up Greene event.
