Nearing the end of the Xenia Community Library’s final phase of renovation, the library’s doors are open once again! We’re excited to welcome you back to enjoy the many updates that you asked for back in 2022 (see more about how we got here below). Just please pardon our dust as the last projects are completed and we all get used to our exciting new library!

This wonderfully updated space is made possible because of YOU. In 2022, you provided an overwhelming response to our community survey. What you asked for inspired all of our planning and design decisions.
Natural light and an open floor plan!
This was your most popular request, so we added windows and more windows. Windows with study nooks, glass walls and low bookshelves so you can see all that your library has to offer.
Room to explore their imagination!
You asked for an expanded children’s area to create more and better space for programming and imaginative learning. We took your counsel and expanded it beyond the floorplan to create an outdoor patio for additional programming.
From imagination to real life!
From two different rooms on the second floor to an expanded and re-imagined maker space, you asked for more and better opportunities to bring your ideas and creativity to life at Spark Place. That’s exactly what we did. The new Spark Place is bigger and better…and all on the first floor. Now, thanks to you, we have more room for you to create and collaborate! And, don’t worry, our amazing maker staff are still here to provide ideas, guidance, and a big dose of encouragement to bring your ideas to life!
