Xenia Community Library Renovation

You asked. We listened!

The Xenia Community Library renovation is underway, projected to be complete in the spring of 2025. Visit this page throughout the project for news and updates! Engaging the community through a survey last fall, patrons identified three priorities: an expanded and more inviting children’s area, greater access to GCPL’s award-winning makerspace, Spark Place, and more natural light. Every aspect of this renovation is focused on improving our community’s access to and experience with the library.

Committed to Serving You Now

Continuing Access

Beginning February 17, the Xenia Mini Library at 76 East Market Street will transition to exclusive curbside service for holds during the final phase of renovation. Access to Spark Place remains open by appointment only throughout this phase.

Continuing Programming

All Xenia Community Library programs, such as storytimes and book clubs, are being held at the Central State University Extension campus at 334 South Progress Drive, next to the Xenia YMCA. An FAQ has been added to our website and you can find a full listing of events in our calendar.

Looking Forward to Serving You for Years to Come

The completed renovation of the Xenia Community Library includes an open floor plan for better access and room for patrons, an expanded maker space on the first floor, and a clear focus on providing natural light. These priorities and other aspects of the public’s response drove the redesign process.
