What we’ve got:

  • Janome MB-4se Single Head Four needle professional-style embroidery machine.
  • Embroidery Thread
  • Embroidery Hoops
    • M1 Hoop - 9.4 x 7.8” area (largest available)
    • M2 Hoop - 4.9 x 4.3” area
    • M3 Hoop - 1.9 x 1.9” area (smallest available)
    • H1 - Hat Hoop
  • Needles, stabilizer, an iron, test fabric, and cutting tools (free)
  • We also provide embroidery conversion software (see below)

What you’ll need:

  • Item you want to embroider
  • Any specialty supplies you need for your project.
    • Please note that any thread you bring in MUST be embroidery thread, not regular sewing thread.
  • Your image and/or embroidery file.
  • Discuss your item and project with staff when you make an appointment for the greatest success.

Related software:

  • DRAWings PRO X is available in the makerspace to prepare image files for embroidery.
  • Image files that work best in this software are .SVG and .PNG files. The program will convert your image files into .JEF, .DST, etc.

File format:

For embroidery machine – .JEF is best, but .DST will also work
