Join us at your community libraries March 6 & 7 for the National Day of Unplugging! Find books & programs to help you unplug, relax, and reset.
As part of the Disconnect 2 Connect (D2C) Coalition, your library believes kids grow best through relationships, play, movement, rest, and real-world connections. Technology can be a helpful tool for learning and communication—but when screens begin to replace these essentials, children and teens may struggle. D2C is about finding a healthier balance, not guilt or blame.
The modern world moves fast and mental health takes effort from us all. Find balance - and joy - in how you do and don't engage with screens every day.
Some ways your can Disconnect 2 Connect at the library include:
- Reading - borrow books from your physical catalog!
- Enjoy a hobby - choose from programs (many are hobby-related) happening at your community library!
- Playing a board game - with lots to choose from, you can borrow one from our Library of Things!
- Simple doing breathing exercises - enjoy cozy spots at your library where you can relax & take a breath.
