Did we See Ya at Xenia this Weekend?

Pictures from our ribbon cutting and Grand Reopening celebration.

What a wonderful weekend in Xenia! After months of work and continuing service from out of the mini-library, the Xenia Community Library is once again fully open and this weekend was our chance to celebrate.

Friday we were honored to be joined by our many partners and local area leaders for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. A project this involved takes understanding and collaboration and we couldn't be happier for the support and wisdom of our community.

Then Saturday we welcomed in all of you to celebrate for See Ya at Xenia with visits from Booker, the Bookmobile, the Xenia High School Jazz Band, a shark from the Newport Aquarium, goats from GoatCountry, storytimes from Pete the Cat and Elephant & Piggie, and local author MaryJo White - plus free commemorative mugs and donuts from Glazed and ice pops from Frios Gourmet Pops. And while all of that - along with the many great crafts and projects from your librarians - was great, we were most excited to welcome you into your new community library. In 2022 you told us what you wanted and this renovation was made with that in mind: more natural light with an open floor plan, an expanded children's area for resources and programming, and a larger room for Spark Place.

So whether you were or weren't able to join us last weekend be sure to come and see us soon at Xenia!
