What we’ve got:

  • Janome MB-4se Single Head Four needle professional-style embroidery machine.
  • Embroidery Thread (free)
  • Embroidery Hoops
    • Minimum embroidery area (M3 hoop) is 50mm x 50mm or 1.9in x 1.9in
    • Maximum embroidery area (M1 hoop) is 240mm x 200mm or 9.4in x 7.8in
  • Needles, stabilizer, an iron, test fabric, and cutting tools (free)
  • We also provide embroidery conversion software (see below)

What you’ll need:

  • Item you want to embroider
  • Any specialty supplies you need for your project.
    • Please note that any thread you bring in MUST be embroidery thread, not regular sewing thread.
  • Your image and/or embroidery file.
  • Discuss your item and project with staff when you make an appointment for the greatest success.

Related software:

DRAWings PRO X is available in the makerspace to prepare image files for embroidery.

Image files that work best in this software are .SVG and .PNG files. The program will convert your image files into .JEF, .DST, etc.

We recommend you take a look at the free tutorials on how to use DRAWings PRO X.

File format:

.JEF is best, .DST will also work
