Important Notice: SearchOhio in Public Beta Test

We are pleased to share that the new SearchOhio software is ready for a public beta test and Greene County Public Library patrons have been invited by the software development company to be part of the testing process. This is a great chance to help make this software better for Greene County and libraries around the State.

Like before, if you search the GCPL catalog and don’t find what you’re looking for, use the SearchOhio catalog to browse and borrow from other Ohio Public Libraries. University Libraries will become part of the new Search Ohio catalog a little later this year.

Please send your feedback to searchohiosuggestions@westervillelibrary.org and our SearchOhio partners will get it to the development team. Thank you for your patience.

As ever, we are working hard to get our patrons what they want and need!

Interlibrary Loan

Want to borrow something that isn’t part of Greene County Public Library’s collection? We partner with other library systems across the state and around the world to make millions of additional items available to check out with your library card.

How It Works

Start by searching for the item you want in our catalog. Can’t find what you’re looking for?

FIRST ATTEMPT

Important Notice: SearchOhio software is in public beta test and Greene County Public Library patrons have been invited by the software development company to be part of the testing process.

SECOND ATTEMPT

Important Notice: Items will not be available to REQUEST or RENEW as OhioLINK integrates to their upgraded platform

THIRD ATTEMPT

If neither of those searches are successful, try seeing if the item is available in WorldCat, opens a new window.

Once you locate the item you need, request it for delivery to your local library. Be sure to check out the policies for all three services.

Journal articles can be requested directly through author, title, or keyword search on WorldCat.

Please contact your librarian if you need further assistance.

Requirements

To make an interlibrary loan request, you must have a valid Greene County Public Library card with less than $5 in fines.

You also need to read and understand the borrowing policies of the service providing the item. Each has its own lending periods, fines, and other rules.
