The Online Book Club, if you've never joined us before, is a book discussion group that takes place entirely online. Each week, I write a new blog post that talks about different aspects of the book, and you can interact directly with me and other readers by leaving your comments. The Housemaid follows Millie as she attempts to rebuild her life. She gets a job cleaning a rich family's house, but almost as soon as she starts the job, she realizes the job might not be the godsend she believed it would be. Nina, the wife in the home, is erratic and hard to work for, but Andrew, the husband, is the perfect man. Millie soon finds herself attracted to Andrew but wants to keep her job and stay on Nina's good side. The situation at the house quickly spirals out of control, and readers wonder if will Millie be able to navigate the dangerous secrets of the house.
