Welcome back to the Yellow Springs Community Library Blog!
We are well into the fall season, and we created a great line up of programs for October and November. Enjoy the following preview of some of the programs that we are excited to offer you!
October Programs:
- Looking for ways to beat the winter blues? Join Andrew Brody on October 13th at 1 pm for Winter Health & Wellness - Beating the Winter Blues as he delves into physical and mental fitness strategies that counter the winter months struggles with less daylight and colder temperatures.
- During Afterschool Tuesday on October 14th at 2:45 pm, Gorman Heritage Farm will visit and bring rabbits for children to pet.
- Swifties will enjoy "The Life of a Showgirl" Listening Party that will occur on October 8th from 5-7 pm. Each attendee will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of the new album. Reserve your spot soon as registration is almost full!
- The October's Take & Make includes a clay pumpkin kit to help you start the "Pumpkin Spice" season. Kits are available while supplies last.
- On October 29th at 4 pm, a new Teen Advisory Group will meet to launch the library's new literary magazine, "Ephemera."
November Programs:
- Join us on November 4th at 2:45 pm as we host Rachel Secody Hoop Dancer. Rachel will use hoops to dance and tell a story.
- The Take & Make craft for November includes a kit to make a marble tray. The tray can be used as a small serving platter, office desk organizer, makeup display and so much more. The kits are available while supplies last.
- Kick off the holiday season by joining us on November 29th at 2:00 pm for a viewing of the movie Elf.
