Hello Beavercreek!
We have had a fantastic summer and have enjoyed serving you and our community. I, myself, have really enjoyed the Dinosaur theme and found it to be just Roar-some!
I am very glad, though, to move onto the promise of crunchy leaves and pumpkin flavored food.
There are so many things going on in the community and within the library for the next two months. We have a Community Sing Along happening on August 1 and Sean Gaskell playing the kora on September 12. There will be our first ever Kindergarten Camp from August 3-7 (registration is required).
We also have some neat presenters, Kathleen Smythe doing an author visit, and a local pair, Abel and Lisa Hernandez, presenting on their hike up Half Dome. On September 26, we are having our first ever Crow Fest where attendees will gather trinkets and showcase their best crow call.
Our youth services have so many things from porcupine crafts to silly goose clay statues. Be on the lookout for "Fairy Putt-Putt" and "Map a World." We also have another Are you smarter than a Librarian? session. We are so blessed to get to create these wonderful programs on top of story times and book clubs all geared towards you our patrons!
Come and find our book on September 12-13 at the popcorn festival. We also will be at the Greene County Fair the first week of August. You might see us at some of your Homecoming Parades as we always try to be a part of those. Last but certainly not least, make time to bring your teens to Teen Fan Fest on September 19. We are eager to see you at all of these events.
