Summer Reading starts June 1st! Build a better world with events for all ages at Beavercreek Community Library.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the great programs coming up in June:


City council gavel

So You Want to Run for City Council?

Monday, June 5 at 6:00 p.m. • Adults

Brian Jarvis, Beavercreek City Council Member, engagingly discusses the things you need to consider and do to run for one of the open seats on the City Council. Come away with a good idea of whether you really want to throw your hat in the ring for the City Council race in the upcoming general election.

Flowers and cosmetics bottles

Teen Spa Day

Tuesday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. • Teens

Build your own supplies to have a spa day at home! Dress comfortably in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. This is a make it and take it program with supplies included. For grades 6–12.

The moon

Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse Presents “Misplaced on the Moon”

Tuesday, June 20 at 12:30 p.m. • Kids & Preschoolers

Come watch the talented kids of Yellow Springs perform this original play about two kids whose toy is lost on the moon as they try to figure out how to retrieve it. For ages 3–12 at Peace Lutheran Church.

Build a Better World Poster & Newspaper Creation

Friday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. • Kids & Preschoolers

Join us for some crafting (mostly coloring, some creativity) as we create posters and a newspaper about you! For ages 4–8.
