Whether you are already on Medicare or soon will be, this educational workshop provides an easy way to understand an overview of Medicare. Learn about eligibility, important enrollment periods, and penalties to avoid. Also explained are the two ways most people get their Medicare health coverage.

Walk and Talk Book Club

A book club designed for those who love to read as well as enjoy fresh air on a light hike. Exercising both our minds and bodies! Each month we will meet to discuss a book, while walking through the wooded and prairie trails at Sweet Arrow Reserve. In September, we’ll discuss The Nature of the Beast by Louise Penny. To ensure we meet the minimum of 5 participants for the hike, pre-registration is required by Thursday, September 14. This program is a partnership between Greene County Public Library and the Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District; a librarian will lead the discussion while park staff help us navigate the trails.
Know the 10 Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease

If you or someone you know is experiencing memory loss or behavioral changes, this interactive program will help you learn the facts about early detection of Alzheimer’s disease. The Miami Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will be presenting another program and topic on October 24th.
Fightback Self Defense for Women

Fightback is a fun and safe introductory self-defense program. A licensed instructor will teach moves using natural body movement to counter attacks in any situation. Wear comfortable clothing! Ages 13-18 welcome with a parent or guardian in attendance.
