Every year, Greene County Public Library partners with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to provide free tax filing help to area residents.
VITA offers tax help to people who generally make $56,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited-English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
In 2020, our Xenia, Beavercreek, and Fairborn libraries will be VITA sites.
Xenia
- Appointments: Xenia VITA help is available on a first-come, first-served basis
- VITA Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. beginning January 29 and ending April 15, 2020. (See online calendar.)

Beavercreek
- Appointments: Register beginning February 8 at 10 a.m. in person or by phone at (937) 352-4001, ext. 3.

Fairborn
- Appointments: Register beginning February 8 at 10 a.m. in person at the Information Desk
