Karl Colón, Executive Director
Dear Greene County Public Library Friends and Family,
I am delighted to have the chance to share with you some of what is going on at your library. In each new Library Links newsletter, I will share a little of what we have been up to as part of our ongoing work to bring education, enrichment, and enjoyment to our whole community.
There have been some wonderful changes inside our buildings. After a thorough community survey process where we heard from you about what you’d like to see in your library, we renovated Beavercreek Community Library to improve everything from our lighting to our meeting rooms to our Children’s Area.
We also added Spark Place—a public makerspace where the community can do anything from 3D printing to laser etching to camera and recording work. We’ve had over 5,000 visitors there since April, and we are so impressed with the creative and collaborative projects our community is making!
We look forward to bringing more changes that will improve our service to you: digital signs, outdoor programs in our parks, STEM programming in our branches, and a whole lot more.
Best of all, we will keep bringing you the very best in traditional library services: books, story times, movies, music, programs, and more. Our pleasure is to serve you, and we appreciate your use of the library’s offerings.
See you at the library!
Karl Colón, Director
