Walking and Talking

Join us for a morning walk on the bike path. We will walk for approximately 30-45 minutes. Meet on the sidewalk outside the library to enjoy some exercise and good conversation.
Amazing Race—Park District Challenge

This race is like no other. Physical and mental challenges will take teams of families on a race against time. Teams will compete by solving clues and silly tasks at secret locations. In order to finish first you need to work together, move quickly, and most importantly, have fun! Will your family be the first to finish this amazing race? Come and find out! The race begins at Bellbrock Park.
Read, Explore, Create: It’s a Small World

Join us at Fairborn’s Community Park for a hands-on adventure inspired by nature and books! We’ll read a great story, go for a discovery hike with a Fairborn Parks naturalist, and create a fun nature-based craft. Dress for outdoor weather and meet us at Shelter #3 at the Community Park. For grades 1—4.
Walk and Talk Book Club

A book club designed for those who love to read as well as enjoy fresh air on a light hike. Exercising both our minds and bodies! Each month we will meet to discuss a book, while walking through the wooded and prairie trails at Sweet Arrow Reserve. In August, we’ll discuss Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver. To ensure we meet the minimum of 5 participants for the hike, pre-registration is required by Thursday, August 17. This program is a partnership between Greene County Public Library and the Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District; a librarian will lead the discussion while park staff help us navigate the trails.
Healthy Meals for Busy Families

The Miami Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will share research on diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, social engagement, and other lifestyle choices that can help keep your brain and body healthy as you age.
