First, we’re sorry the item you’ve checked out is damaged. Please report the problem to your local library’s circulation staff when you return the disc so that we can repair it or order a new copy. We would also like to help you request a copy that does work.
Keeping our materials in good working order is important to us. We use resurfacing machines that clean and repair scratched DVDs and CDs. We repair thousands of discs a year. Some discs can be damaged beyond repair, especially if they are cracked, and we discard those – but we find that we can repair over 90 percent of our damaged discs. Thanks for your help in reporting these issues to us.
