You must come to the library to be issued a full-service library card.

However, for immediate access to our research databases and to request up to two items, Ohio residents can create a library account and register as a temporary online patron.

  • On your first library visit, bring with you something that can verify your address: e.g. photo I.D.
  • Your library card enables you to borrow materials from any Greene County Public Library location.
  • Library cards must be renewed annually.
  • There is no cost for Ohio residents to get their first library card.

If you are not a resident of Ohio, you can apply for a library card with a $25 annual fee. Learn More
