A Friends of the Library group was started in the 1960s and reactivated in the mid ’70s with the help of The Beavercreek Women’s League. Land on Dayton-Xenia Road had been donated by Faye Bartley, and the Friends of the Beavercreek Library needed the support of the public to pass a levy to build the new library. The levy passed, and the library (13,000 sq. ft.) opened in the fall of 1979.
The Friends are very supportive of the Community Library, and have a membership of over 200. They have a Spring and Fall Book Sale, and send out a newsletter twice a year.
