You must come to the library to be issued a full-service library card.

However, for immediate access to our research databases and to request up to two items, Ohio residents can create a library account and register as a temporary online patron.

  • On your first library visit, bring with you something that can verify your address: e.g. photo I.D.
  • Your library card enables you to borrow materials from any Greene County Public Library location.
  • Library cards must be renewed annually.
  • There is no cost for Ohio residents to get their first library card.

Report a lost or stolen card to the library as soon as possible. You’re responsible for items checked out on your card up to the time your card is reported lost or stolen.

A replacement card costs $1.
