For over a century, Greene County residents have enjoyed the educational and cultural benefits of library service. Library resources and usage have grown steadily, and today the library system consists of seven community libraries throughout the county.
The Library Foundation was established to provide a secure financial foundation that will ensure a legacy of excellence for the future. The Foundation does not replace tax money. Rather, it is intended to enhance the quality and range of library service beyond the level that is the responsibility of the taxpayer.

Friends of the Library
- support events at the library such as author visits and programs for kids
- help with book sales, bake sales, and other fundraising efforts
- write letters to decision-makers in support of library funding
- meet other people who love the library!
